Villas for Destination Wedding In Tuscany Part 2
Savvy handpicks glamorous venues that truly are perfect for destination weddings in Italy and offers you many choices. In part one of this blog series we helped you visualize driving through rolling hills filled with thousands of olive trees and grapevines to find two exclusive and historical locations to stay and wed. This week we'll continue our little dreamy trip through the Tuscan countryside to visit more locations made for you! So hop back into your sweet little Italian Fiat (choose your favorite color!) and let's keep searching...
Zooming through the countryside, this time 40-minutes from the Florence City Center, we have found you an amazing castle with even more guest accommodations! Vicchiomaggio Castle (http://www.vicchiomaggio.it/) is a truly exclusive experience for a beautiful, romantic and charming wedding in the Chianti hills of Tuscany. Castello Vicchiomaggio offers inside and outside set-ups with a maximum of 130 people for an indoor and/or outdoor event and 17 serviced suites within the Castle complex that accommodate approximately 40-45 people.
Begin your new life together in this magical castle with friends and family surrounding you, incredible views all around, a picturesque courtyard full of romance and intrigue, sunny days and midnight garden strolls, candlelight dinners, and more. You and your love will never forget the moments you spend on this estate, being wined and dined and pampered in an ancient castle full of charm in the valley of Greve in Chianti.
Now that your belly is full of laughter and wine, let's hop back into that vintage Fiat and maybe take it slow this time through the incredible Chianti region until we arrive at the next location on our list. Located on a hill overlooking the Val di Greve: the Castello di Verrazzano (http://www.verrazzano.com/en/) historically belonged to the great navigator Giovanni da Verrazzano and likely originated from a Roman settlement. The castle is over 1,000 years old with a winery that has been growing vines since the year 1170 and has been transformed into a farm and manor house beside a beautiful Italian garden.
Picture your wedding ceremony in the gorgeous Italian garden with statues and green all around, followed by cocktails in the main garden and dinner at round tables for 120 guests on the terrace or 180 guests in the garden. Your reception can be held on the terrace or in the garden as well, or for off-season weather issues, there are indoor options in grand rooms.
Approximately five minutes away there are accommodations in the restored farmhouse for up to 27 guests. So while this location doesn't have on-site accommodations like some others, you may just find the size of its party and ceremony spaces and the garden setting just perfect for you on your special day.
So Where Are We Now?
